Equitable Life
Does the Exchequer Secretary not feel that we are in danger of rehearsing the Gurkha escapade, whereby the Government give a little bit more, then a little bit more? Why can we not be up front and say, "We are going to pay those people who have missed out on the Equitable Life compensation scheme at the earliest point possible"? Then we can all be happy.
