Proceeding contribution from James Duddridge (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Friday, 29 January 2010. It occurred during Debate on bill on Mortgage Repossessions (Protection of Tenants Etc.) Bill.

Mortgage Repossessions (Protection of Tenants Etc.) Bill

My hon. Friend makes a valid point, but I hope that we can get over such problems to do the best by tenants. In an intervention I mentioned short-term and holiday lets. Were I selected to serve on the Committee, I would want to ensure that the Bill took those lets into account. However, it is a very good Bill and I welcome it. I look forward to supporting it if it comes to a vote at some point during this Session, and I thank the hon. Member for Bolton, South-East for introducing it.
