Proceeding contribution from Julie Morgan (Labour) in the House of Commons on Friday, 12 March 2010. It occurred during Debate on bill on Sunbeds (Regulation) Bill.

Sunbeds (Regulation) Bill

I beg to move, That the Bill be now read the Third time. The Sunbeds (Regulation) Bill will protect children; that is why it has Government and cross-party support. It was clear on Second Reading and on Report that the Bill could save lives. I am grateful to everyone who has supported it, particularly those Members who turned out on more than one Friday. I should like to put on the record how grateful I am to my hon. Friend the Member for Swansea, East (Mrs. James) for all her support. She has campaigned tirelessly on this issue for many years. I thank everybody who has made such an effort to support the Bill. It is important and it will protect young people. I commend it to the House.
