Proceeding contribution from Linda Gilroy (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 3 September 2009. It occurred during Grand Committee proceedings (HC) on Economic Downturn (Unemployment).
Economic Downturn (Unemployment)
In the hon. Gentleman’s capacity as international trade spokesperson, will he share with the Committee any assessment he has made of the prospects for industries and businesses from the low-carbon economy? Does he welcome, as I do, the announcement that the south-west is to be the first low-carbon economic zone which, I think, will attract investment in the region of £19 million for something on which we have great strength?
