Proceeding contribution from Nick Palmer (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 9 September 2009. It occurred during Grand Committee proceedings (HC) on Building Britain's Future.
Building Britain's Future
I am grateful to my hon. Friend, and we are all delighted to see him back in action. We should give the Conservative council credit for the fact that it saw sense in the end and made a U-turn on the issue. It is no longer trying to block the tram, although, admittedly, only after it got votes saying that it would do the opposite.
