Unlike Government Members, I plan to ask about the amendment, rather than talking about reports in The Times today. Will my right hon. Friend confirm that the measures proposed by the former Chancellor of the Exchequer in the Budget in March would have reduced the incomes of the top 10% of earners by 7% and those of the bottom 10% of earners by 0%, compared with the Budget proposed by the current Chancellor that reduces the income of the top 10% by 0.7% but the bottom 10% by 2.6%?
