Proceeding contribution from David Ward (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Monday, 26 July 2010. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HC) on Academies Bill [Lords].

Academies Bill [Lords]

I wonder whether the hon. Gentleman is as concerned as I am about the proposals on consulting parents. Unless we receive some advice to the contrary, it appears that under clause 1(6)(d) up to 49% of the pupils in a new school do not have to be"““drawn from the area in which the school is situated.””"
