Proceeding contribution from Lord Jackson of Peterborough (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 6 September 2010. It occurred during Debate on bill on Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill.
Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill

Gentleman, who is making a powerful speech, but does not he find it perverse and unprecedented in recent parliamentary history that his party not only went to the electorate at the general election in favour of an AV referendum, but legislated for it before the election, and yet will vote against that policy tonight?
