Proceeding contribution from Lord Harper (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 1 December 2010. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HC) on Fixed-term Parliaments Bill.

Fixed-term Parliaments Bill

Absolutely. I can certainly say on behalf of this Government that this Government and this Prime Minister would never wish to put Her Majesty the Queen in such a position. Clearly, I cannot speak for Governments of the future, however.
