Proceeding contribution from Lord Dubs (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 19 January 2011. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HL) on Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill.
Parliamentary Voting System and Constituencies Bill
I understand what my noble friend is saying but I am reading his amendment and trying to understand what the argument is. The amendment says: "““Each constituency shall be wholly in one of””—" and includes Northern Ireland. I do not see how a constituency could be other than within Northern Ireland.
