Proceeding contribution from Lord Butler of Brockwell (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Monday, 21 March 2011. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Fixed-term Parliaments Bill.
Fixed-term Parliaments Bill
I take it that, if the amendment is passed, the noble Lord would also want a referendum on the question of whether a fixed-term Parliament should be for four or five years.
