Proceeding contribution from Lord Wallace of Saltaire (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 22 March 2011. It occurred during Debate on bill on European Union Bill.
European Union Bill
We shall continue to do so. I am grateful for the depth of concern for the purity of the Liberal Democrats. It is most touching to hear so much from the Labour Benches. Indeed, it reminded me of the years in which I used to worry about the purity of the commitment of the noble Lord, Lord Richard, to the Labour Party as it became Eurosceptic, and how on earth he could manage to stay in the Labour Party through all of its twists and turns on Europe. But we worry about each other.
