Proceeding contribution from Lord McCabe (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 30 March 2011. It occurred during Debate on bill on Police Reform and Social Responsibility Bill.
Police Reform and Social Responsibility Bill (Programme) (No. 2)
I apologise. Clause 1(8)(g) places a responsibility on the police and crime commissioner to"““hold the chief constable to account””" for"““the exercise of duties relating to equality and diversity that are imposed on the chief constable by any enactment.””" In particular, I am thinking of what came out of the Lawrence inquiry.
