Proceeding contribution from Anna Soubry (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 4 May 2011. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Family Policy.
Family Policy
In many ways, what my hon. Friend describes, drawn from his experience as a solicitor, is very similar what our hon. Friend the Member for Maidstone and The Weald said. She too was speaking from the heart as well as from her experience, as was our hon. Friend the Member for Erewash. Does he agree that it is imperative that the Government understand and appreciate that lawyers, be they solicitors or barristers, play an invaluable role in bringing families together? We are much more than just lawyers: we bring together other services though our work when we represent people.
