Localism Bill

120G: Clause 43, page 38, line 20, at end insert— ““( ) In order to comply with this section a petition must be validated by the Electoral Registration Officer or Officers for the relevant area as follows— (a) that the name of each person on the petition is that of a local government elector who is registered at the address stated on the petition, and (b) that the signature of each person on the petition corresponds to that on the electoral registration form signed by that person.””
