Proceeding contribution from Chris Ruane (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 20 October 2011. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Statement.
Work Programme

I think the Minister might have inadvertently misled the Committee, because he said that he has been monitoring the number of private sector jobs in Wales carefully over the past 12 months, and that they have increased. According to the nifty little machine owned by my hon. Friend the Member for Wrexham and Channel 4’s FactCheck, the number of private sector jobs in Wales over the past year has gone down by 52,000.
