Proceeding contribution from Jim Shannon (Democratic Unionist Party) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 1 November 2011. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Youth Employment.
Youth Employment
Is the hon. Lady aware of a new tax incentive called the young Britain credit that might be worth some £1,500 to firms taking on an unemployed person aged 16 to 24 and which would also cover the first year of employer’s national insurance contributions? Does she feel that such a tax incentive might lift many young people out of unemployment?
