Proceeding contribution from David Simpson (Democratic Unionist Party) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 1 November 2011. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Youth Employment.

Youth Employment

Does the hon. Lady agree that one of the difficulties now faced by young people who want to get into some form of apprenticeship or into a training college is that they must have companies to sponsor them? Obviously, with the current state of the construction industry and of industry as a whole, it is virtually impossible for young people to get that start.
