Proceeding contribution from Jenny Willott (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 1 February 2012. It occurred during Debate on bill on Welfare Reform Bill.
Welfare Reform Bill
I am grateful to the Minister for clarifying those points. Finally, the Harrington process that has been put in place to review the work capability assessment has been an extremely effective way of getting outsiders to take an independent look at how Government policy is working. It has made significant improvements. I hope that we can learn from that process for the review of this policy to ensure that we are doing what is in the best interests of those who are affected by the cap and of taxpayers.
