Northern Ireland Act 2006
My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (Peter Hain) has made the following Ministerial Statement. In addition to my appointment of Eileen Bell MLA (Alliance) as Presiding Officer to the Assembly under Paragraph 3(1)(a) of Schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 2006, I have today appointed Jim Wells MLA and Francie Molloy MLA (Sinn Fein) as Deputy Presiding Officers to the Assembly under the same legislation. I have also placed copies of Assembly Standing Orders determined under Paragraph 4 (1) of Schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 2006 in the Libraries of both Houses.
