Paper petition presented in the House of Commons, on Wednesday, 2 April 2008 by Martin Salter.

Planning and Development (Reading)

Public petition from residents of Reading for action to delete the Kennet meadows in Southcote, Colney park, Calcott and Katesgrove from the draft south-east plan. That is the area covered by the Prudential proposals to build 7,500 homes on the functional floodplain of the River Kennet in south-west Reading, plans that were described by the Environment Agency as putting the whole of Reading town centre at risk of flooding.
