Drugs (Prisons)
5. Chris Mole (Ipswich) (Lab): What steps he is taking to reduce the availability of drugs in prisons; and if he will make a statement. [218562] [Official Report, 15 July 2008, Vol. 479, c. 122-124.] Letter from Jack Straw: In my response to the hon. Member for Ipswich (Chris Mole) during Justice Questions on 15 July 2008 I said: ‘There are now 141 intensive drug treatment programmes in 99 prisons.’ It has since come to my attention that this is incorrect. There are currently 114 intensive drug treatment programmes in 99 prisons.
