State Retirement Pensions

Mr. Gordon Prentice: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many people receive the UK state pension in a form which (a) is and (b) is not frozen, broken down by country of residence. [216748] [Official Report, 17 July 2008, Vol. 479, c. 656 W .] Letter of correction from Mr. O’Brien: An error has been identified in the written answer given to the hon. Member for Pendle on 17 July 2008. Alderney was inadvertently included in the table of frozen rate countries and territories but should have been included in table 1, which listed the countries and territories where the state pension is uprated. In the original answer, table 2, headed ““Number of State Pension recipients living overseas in frozen rate countries and territories””, included the following: [Extract from table as originally provided printed.
