My right honourable friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for 14-19 Reform and Apprenticeships (Iain Wright) has made the following Written Ministerial Statement. I would inform the House that the Joint Advisory Committee for Qualifications Approval has published its Annual Summary Report for 2008-2009. The Committee is a non-statutory body chaired jointly by the Learning and Skills Council and Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency. The role of the Committee is to provide advice to the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families on which qualifications should be eligible for public funding and delivery to learners aged 14-19. Copies of the Annual Summary will be placed in the House Libraries.
