Written statement made by Earl Howe (Conservative) on Tuesday, 21 December 2010 in the House of Lords, on behalf of the Department of Health.

Health: Contaminated Blood Products

My honourable friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Anne Milton) has made the following Written Ministerial Statement. On 14 October 2010, I issued a Written Ministerial Statement (Official Report, cols. 30-31ws) announcing a review of aspects of support available to individuals infected with hepatitis C and/or HIV by NHS-supplied blood transfusions or blood products. In that Statement, I said I expected to be able to report the outcome of this work and my intentions by the end of 2010. The review has been completed and submitted to Ministers, and I will update the House early in January when I publish the report.
