Written statement made by Lord Strathclyde (Conservative) on Tuesday, 26 April 2011 in the House of Lords, on behalf of the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.

House Of Lords: Working Practices

On 27 July 2010 I set up a Leader’s Group chaired by Lord Goodlad to consider the working practices of the House and the operation of self-regulation. I received its report during the Easter adjournment and have today published it: copies are available from the Printed Paper Office as HL Paper 136. I am grateful to each member of the group for their work on this important subject. Their report makes a large number of recommendations and will, I hope, be of interest to Members on all sides of the House. I will now lead discussions in the usual channels to make time available for a debate on the report.
