International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls 2022
A Westminster Hall debate has been scheduled for Thursday 1 December on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, in the name of Jackie Doyle-Price MP (Conservative).
25 November 2022 marked the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The theme of this year’s initiative is UNITE! Activism to End Violence against Women & Girls. The 25 November marked the launch of an annual 16 days of activism, which ends on International Human Rights Day on 10 December. This year’s campaign hopes to raise awareness about the prevalence of violence against women and girls which, already heightened by the COVID-19 pandemic, is “being further increased by the intersecting crises of climate change, global conflict and economic instability”.
