Scottish Parliament elections 2026

Elections to the Scottish Parliament took place on 7 May 2026. The Scottish National Party (SNP) won 57 seats, the most of any party, followed by Labour and Reform UK on 17 seats each. At the previous 2021 election to the Scottish Parliament, the SNP won 64 seats and Labour won 22.

The dashboard below presents national results data, results by party, and results by constituency. It also includes data on turnout.

Further information is available from the Scottish Parliament Information Centre (SPICe), who have published a briefing on this election.

Notes

This data was sourced from BBC election results data, and local authorities through their websites or direct correspondence. Data is currently missing on rejected ballots in one region; the dashboard will be updated once this data has been obtained. For technical reasons, parties which did not stand in both constituency and regional elections are excluded from the “Party results and turnout” page.
