To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether he has instructed the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to conduct a regulatory impact assessment on chartering a foreign-registered emergency towing vessel; and if he will make a statement.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency is not required to produce a regulatory impact assessment as the requirement for an Emergency Towing Vessel is not mandated by UK regulation.
