To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, pursuant to the Answer of 28 February 2017 to Question 65129, on Heineken: Punch Taverns, what steps he is taking to help protect jobs in the microbrewing industry.
- Answer

We are working with UK industry to create the right conditions for competitive, world leading manufacturing businesses to flourish and grow across the UK. We are supporting all UK food and drink manufacturers, including microbrewers, by cutting business taxes, reducing red tape and investing in new scientific infrastructure on a record scale.
Through our Industrial Strategy, we are offering an ‘open door’ to industry to come to us with proposals for a Sector Deal to transform and upgrade their sector. We are prepared to work with any sector which can organise behind strong leadership to address shared challenges and opportunities.
