Wales Office: Brexit

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to the Answer of 27 November 2017 to Question 114746 and the Answer of 20 November to Question 11334, if he will deposit in the Library a list of the documents his Department provided for the formulation of plans in the event that no deal is reached between the UK and the EU before the UK leaves the EU.

Answer

As I have set out in previous answers, while the Department for Exiting the European Union has responsibility for overseeing preparations for the withdrawal of the UK from the EU and conducting these withdrawal negotiations in support of the Prime Minister, the Office of the Secretary of State for Wales work closely with them and other Government departments on all issues relating to EU Exit. Therefore, to ensure Welsh interests are properly represented my Department contributes to policy development as plans progress across government.
