Tesco: Booker Group

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, with reference to the proposed merger of Tesco and Booker wholesale, what representations he has received on the potential of a price advantage being gained by for Booker in the wholesale food sector.

Answer

Competition investigations into mergers are a matter for the independent Competition and Markets Authority.
