Randox Testing Services

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to the Written Statement of the Minister of State for Policing and the Fire Service of 21 November 2017 on toxicology, HCWS265, whether Key Forensics Services were providing re-testing support as a result of the possibility of manipulation of drug tests performed by Randox Testing Services.

Answer

Yes. The National Police Chiefs’ Council is overseeing the re-testing of samples potentially impacted by the alleged manipulation at Randox Testing Services and I welcome their swift action in establishing a Silver Group to lead on the redistribution of new casework including re-testing of toxicology cases
