To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many people were convicted under section 168 of the Equality Act 2010 for refusing to take an assistance dog in a taxi or private hire vehicle since 2010.

The number of offenders found guilty at all courts for offences related to refusal to take an assistance dog in a taxi or private hire vehicle, in England and Wales, from 2011 to 2016, can be viewed in the table. Prior to 2011, these offences were recorded as part of a miscellaneous offence group, which cannot be separately analysed until 2011.
Court proceedings data for 2017 are planned for publication in May 2018.
