To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, with reference to the consultation on Animal welfare: banning the use of electronic training collars for cats and dogs, published by his Department in March 2018, what the timescale is for his Department to publish a response to that consultation.

The consultation closes on 27 April. It is normal practice to respond within three months.
