Furniture: Formaldehyde

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what recent assessment he has made of the efficacy of the published acceptable limits for formaldehyde in MDF furniture.

Answer

The Department has not made any such assessment. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs have responsibility for the regulatory framework for the control of chemicals.
