To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent discussions he has had with NHS England on the list of medical conditions that entitle people to medical exemption certificates; and whether he plans to include additional medical conditions on that list.

The Department has no current plans to review or amend the list of medical conditions that provide exemption from prescription charges because arrangements exist to ensure that prescriptions are affordable for everyone. Accordingly, no recent discussions about this matter have taken place at Ministerial level with NHS England.
