Social Security Benefits

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, what steps are being taken to ensure (a) asylum support payments and (b) other welfare payments will (i) be available to and (ii) provide adequate support to those most vulnerable to (A) rising food prices and (B) food supply disruption in the event that the UK leaves the EU without a deal.

Answer

It has not proved possible to respond to the hon. Member in the time available before Prorogation.
