Iraq: Kuwait

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what assessment his Department has made of the progress achieved by the Government of Iraq in complying with UN Security Council resolution 2107.

Answer

The UK supports the Government of Iraq's efforts to resolve the file on Kuwait and third-country nationals pursuant to UN Security Council resolution 2107. We welcome continued bilateral dialogue between the Governments of Iraq and Kuwait in progressing this issue.
