Recorders: Part-time Employment

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many part-time Recorders have been sitting each year from 2015 to 2021; and for how many days each part-time Recorder sat.

Answer

Recorders are not full time salaried judges, but fee paid, and the number of days they are expected to make themselves available for in a year is set out in their terms and conditions. PQ 93763 covers all those who have a primary appointment as Recorder.
