To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what estimate her Department has made of the proportion of people in community substance misuse treatment who have or continue to experience mental illnesses.

Public Health England’s latest annual report on alcohol and drug misuse treatment in England found that in 2019 to 2020, 59% or 77,815 of adults starting substance misuse treatment in England said they had a mental health treatment need.
