Bupropion

Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department are taking to improve the supply of Bupropion.

Answer: The Department is aware of a shortage with bupropion with a resupply date to be confirmed. We issued management guidance to the National Health Service on this shortage on 1 December 2022 advising on the management of patients who require this medication for both licensed and off-label indications. Clinicians can advise on suitable alternative products, and other management options that can be considered, including unlicensed bupropion tablets which have been sourced.
