Independent Living Fund: Solihull

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, how much funding was made available to his Department to Solihull Council for the Independent living fund in the (a) 2022-23 and (b) 2023-24 financial years.

The Rural Services Delivery Grant is allocated in recognition of the possible additional costs of service delivery in sparsely populated areas. Because Solihull Council is not as sparsely populated as authorities in England who receive this funding, it is not eligible for this grant.
For 2022-23, Solihull Council received £768,824 from the Independent Living Fund. As part of the Government's commitment to simplify the grants system, we have rolled the Independent Living Fund into the Social Care Grant from 2023-24 onwards.
