Remittances
- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, if he will publish a breakdown of the value of remittances in the UK in each of the previous five years.
- Answer
-
With respect to UK remittances that flow internationally, FCDO does not collect or report this data globally. The best proxy is the World Bank Group's remittance data which is published annually and available online https://www.worldbank.org/en/topic/migrationremittancesdiasporaissues/brief/migration-remittances-data and captures flows through formal banking systems.
