To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if he will ensure an urgent investigation of the anti-Semitic defacing of a birth certificate submitted to the Passport Office.

The Home Secretary asked officials to urgently investigate this matter as soon as he became aware of this incident on 19 February.
The incident is being taken extremely seriously. Home Office officials are working with commercial partners to complete the investigation and will ensure that appropriate action is taken.
