To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, pursuant to the Answer of 19 May 2025 to Question 50158 on Polygamy, if she will make it her policy to commission research on this issue.

The department has no plans to commission research on this issue. It has been the policy of successive governments to prevent the formation of polygamous households in the UK.
