Strokes: Health Services

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the potential impact of the stroke video triage scheme on treatment times for stroke patients in the East of England.

Answer

The Department has not made a specific assessment of the pre-hospital stroke video triage scheme in the East of England. Locally it is estimated that the scheme is having a positive impact in helping to reduce waiting times for stroke patients for diagnostic imaging and treatment.
