Companies: Registration

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, what is the total number of unique individuals registered as Persons of Significant Control on Companies House.

Answer

We do not identify unique individuals as persons of significant control (PSC), but we do hold the total number of PSC appointments. These figures are published through our official statistics release, which provides the authoritative source for this data. Our next annual publication is due on Thursday 25 June 2026. As of 31 March 2025, there were 6.5 million PSC appointments on the register.
