Erasmus+ Programme
- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what comparative assessment she has made of the adequacy of Erasmus+ support for participants with (a) SEND, (b) Additional Support Needs and (c) Additional learning needs with support available under the Turing Scheme.
- Answer
-
Inclusion is a core priority of the Erasmus+ programme.
Like the Turing Scheme, Erasmus+ offers additional support to help participants with fewer opportunities take part in mobility opportunities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, additional support needs and additional learning needs.
This support includes additional funding to help cover the costs of participation. It also includes wider measures such as blended mobility options, which combine a shorter period of physical mobility with a virtual component to provide greater flexibility and accessibility. Additional mentoring, coaching and preparatory support is also available.
