Energy Performance Certificates: Private Rented Housing

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, what estimate he has made of the capital cost to landlords of bringing buildings over 1,000 square metres up to EPC B by 2031.

Answer

As non-domestic buildings vary greatly, the upfront costs of energy efficiency improvements will vary across building size.

We will be publishing our impact assessment, which will include the estimated capital and installation costs, alongside our government response in due course.
